Tanker Stocks Trade Higher on M&A News

Shares of companies that ship crude oil, refined petroleum and dry bulk goods, rose today on merger and acquisition activity.

Here is how some key tanker stocks did today.

Teekay Shipping, up $4.01 to $59.90

A/s Steamship Co. Torm, up $3.58 to $71.76

OMI, up $1.46 to $29.20

Ship Finance International Ltd., up 90 cents to $28.90

Overseas Shipholding Group Inc., up $6.34 to $67.83

General Maritime Corp., up $1.13 to $31.71

I don't usually trade this group of stocks but I'll keep an eye on them because they are all making big moves with volume. I'm always looking for fresh groups to trade, maybe this might be a group worth watching.
