Today ABT announced positive results from two studies which confirm that darotid artery stenting is a safe and effective treatment to reduce risk of stroke. The stock closed up over 6% on heavy volume.
Around 1:00 there was renewed takeover chatter circulating for NEM, but the stock was only able to rally about .40.
On Friday at 10:30, OVTI rallied sharply on rumors of a potential Eastman Kodak (EK) acquisition. Today at exactly 10:30 again, we saw more heavy buying. I'll be watching OVTI tomorrow around 10:30 just in case buyers decide to enter again at this time.
At 12:00 today, GRA rallied on takeover chatter. GRA April 25 calls are seeing heavy interest. The stock closed up almost 8% on big volume.
DVN April calls are seeing interest following XOM for DVN chatter. Seeing the most activity are the Apr 75 calls. DVN closed up a little over 2% today.
